The president's final inauguration speech was very strong in style and moving. He persuaded his audience with a very well written and captivating speech. He managed to get the audience to believe in him and his goals for the future.
There were many similarities between the first two speeches that we analyzed and the last one. All of the speeches began the same way; with the acknowledgments. He thanked everyone and then began listing the issues and the problems that he was going to fix. He included many rhetorical devices in all his speeches but the most common ones were reader inclusion and repetition. In all of the speeches he constantly referred to the audience to make them feel as if he can relate. With that connection, he reeled in those watching and kept their attention. These rhetorical devices were used effectively in his speeches and seemed to pull through every time.
The differences between the speeches were mostly in the content, length and style. The first speech was a lot longer than the rest and used many long paragraphs. The second speech, which was his victory speech was just as strong but had shorter paragraphs with a punch line at the end. The last speech was more in depth and detailed about the plans he had for the future of America.
The speeches were all delivered in a powerful way and with confidence but the content and style is what varied.
